    Guys, I put brie in a risotto I was making last night, and it's a game-changer. I'd previously tried @BootstrapCook's brie and bacon risotto but not been able to taste the brie. Think the key is to use quite a strong one. Also adds an incredible creamy texture. Do it.

    THREAD: Oleksii Marazov, 45, and his family woke up Saturday morning to the news they had lost their apartment in a missile strike. They live in a recently-built high rise in downtown Kyiv. They survived because they had spent Friday night in a bomb shelter at his sons’ school.

    I listed Jerry Springer as a reference on one of my first journalism CVs. I had interviewed for my college’s student tv channel, and told him how much I wanted to be a reporter. He offered to be a future reference, and wrote down his AOL email address for me.

    When we spoke, Oleksii’s family was in the corridor getting some daylight and information. He introduced me to his sons, Yurii, 12, and Mykola, 8. This is their school. Right now, they live in its basement.

    That’s Oleksii’s daughter Kateryna, 20, on the left, and wife Mariia, 44, in the middle, surrounded by their sons. Each family has a cubby to put their things. They brought food, books and toys from home, but the kids mostly just want to sit close to mom and dad now, he says.
