- Doesn’t matter what level you get to, D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO etc as long as you did everything you could to get there throughout your high school career. Leave with no regrets on how you went about your business!
- Dad and son come in the facility today from outta town, kids about 16 or 17. Throws a bullpen no pre work, no dynamic warm up, no bands, nada. Throws 70+ pitches to his dad, no recovery. I try to give suggestions get turned down. Back of their shirts reads “IM ALL IN” are you?
- Learn to be an athlete first! Learning athletic movements is crucial to building a solid foundation. Been reading “movement over maxes” by @ZachDechant highly recommend to all coaches!
00:00 - In order to be able to handle a seasons workload of 50-80 pitches (hs) & 70-100 pitches (college, pro) per outing you have to train accordingly in the offseason. You can’t throw 2-3 times a week & make 30-50 throws per session and expect to stay healthy or maximize performance
- I know it sounds corny and cliché but having one of your athletes simply tell you “thank you for everything” makes everything worth it
