    PARENTS: If your kid isn’t playing, encourage him to be a great teammate, work & compete extremely hard in practice, and have a great attitude. Quit thinking there’s a conspiracy theory as to why he isn’t playing. Sometimes the kids in front of him are simply better. That’s life!

    PARENTS: Did y’all hear that? Commentators said Carson Edwards wanted to QUIT basketball in the 10th grade bc he was playing JV. His Mom WOULDN’T let him bc she felt if he QUIT then he would QUIT on other things in life. Now look at him.....about to be a pro. #Message🤷🏾‍♂️

    Young athletes, I’ma give U a secret on something. But U gotta keep it hush-hush 🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫. College coaches could care less how many points U score in an AAU game. What they want to see is who simply makes the right plays at both ends of the floor.

    If you’re coaching youth basketball at any level from 8th grade down and you have your team running zone on defense, turn in your coaches membership card in immediately. You are doing a disservice to those kids. Teach man2man principles and stop worrying about “winning” a game.

    Wow.....my man @Xaviersimpson3 with the triple-double. I’m not surprised bc I’ve seen the work. Never cheated or took a shortcut with nothing. Came early, stayed late....all bc he wanted these moments. You continue to make us all proud. Onto the next my man!!!!! #GoBlue💙💛Ⓜ️〽️

    The #1 killer of a good team is when you have players in competition w/each other. Having a good team isn’t always good if everyone isn’t 100% bought in. When kids don’t buy in, it’s probably something being said daily at home from parents. Explain everyone’s roles. It will help!

    It’ll be a true blessing to see my son run out on the floor tonight in a actual NBA game. People say never live through your kids but when you’ve invested time we have invested together from the beginning a part of me feels as if I’ll be running on the floor with him. #Blessed 🙏🏾

    Not how I wanted to say it or do it. But I am extremely proud of my son Xavier Simpson for earning his degree from the University of Michigan. We will celebrate when the time is right. And yes, you all are invited!!!!!! Wow!!! #GoBlue💙💛Ⓜ️〽️ 📜 👨🏾‍🎓 🎓

    This AAU basketball world has gotten so bad. It’s seriously sickening how some of these parents act. Hate to see success for others kids, want everything all about their son, can’t function if the attention isn’t about them. AAU basketball has become pure sickening. Sad but true!

    I just heard NBA analysts Marc Jackson say that Tom Thibodeau coaches every possession. KIDS: stop telling your high school coaches to let y’all play. NO NO NO......y’all need structure and guidance. Even pros benefit off structure and guidance.
