If any college coaches have room on their roster for a post player, I know an unsigned 6’2” 2019 who just moved back to KY & can try out ASAP. Excellent shot blocker, great with her back to the basket, runs the floor well, will run through a wall for you. Just needs one chance.

Some players need to hit the GYM, not the portal. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 6’8” “big man” weighing 120lbs? You need to hit the WEIGHTS. “Shooter” shooting <30% from 3? You need to hit some SHOTS. “Combo guard” averaging more turnovers than assists? You need to hit somebody with a GOOD PASS.

I am looking for SHOOTERS eligible to play right away. I’m talking guys who take deep 3s, have a quick release, average over 35% from behind the arc, and are true 3-point specialists. Show me the film. 👇

I can’t say how many hours my players, my assistants, my former players, & all our families have poured into our program over the past few years. 6 players stuck around from our worst season. Today they were there to drench me after we reached a program record 15 wins. #family

Saw @CoachVerdin post this activity (or something similar) a few months ago. I used it during our balance unit. Kids naturally love to play rough and are motivated by being allowed to do so. This activity was their favorite all year & we had ZERO behavior issues. All smiles!

With virtual school on the horizon, it feels like a good time to remind everyone that kids need AT LEAST 150 minutes of physical activity each week - sweaty skin, heart beating fast, flushed face physical activity! ONE HUNDRED FIFTY. PER WEEK. EVERY WEEK.

2 years ago, we lost 19 straight games in the middle of our season, finished 2-24, and lost every JV game that year. My girls never gave up. Right now, we are 3rd in the state in points allowed per game. We rank 24th in margin points and 41st in rebounding. Culture matters.

Congrats to our girl @keaton14hall for receiving her first scholarship offer yesterday! Keaton decided in middle school she wanted to play at the next level and get her education paid for, and she has worked incessantly to make it happen. Proud of you, 14!

I don’t even know what to say. I am devastated that this particular season is over. I could write a book on the adversity our team faced and the memories we made - not just in this season, but in the past 5. Let me share what the best team in Model history did:

These 3 have endured so much since they joined us in the spring of their 7th grade year. They were our 1st JV team and have since led us to becoming the winningest team in school history. They are some of the best humans I know. So happy we got the win for them on Senior Night.

Please congratulate our players @keaton14hall and @MckennaTuttle for being selected to the 44th District All-Tournament Team. I’m so proud of their hard work and the way they represent @EKUModel and @modelathletics!

20 years from now I may not remember our record, but I will remember the energy in the locker room tonight with our team screaming our school fight song in masks - after our 6th straight win, being fully vaccinated, finally feeling like we’re breaking free from the last year. 💙
