Head Men’s Basketball Coach - Harris-Stowe State University - NAIA / HBCU / STL #SwarmTogether
- At Dick’s and a young man asked for his size in these sweet Candace Parker’s. Salesman, “Nah man, these are girls shoes.” The boy, embarrassed, walks away. I stopped him and said, “Those are dope, bro! Man, find your size! She’s a goat. That guy’s an idiot.” Don’t be that guy 🤨
- The High School coach you always criticize? Did you know they’re making maybe $2,000 a year (and likely putting that much into the program, or more, out of their own pocket)? Did you know they have to work a FT job in addition to the endless hours of practice, games, & film, etc?
- 21% of Mahomes’ incompletions this season have been drops. 21% Two of those drops are heavily responsible for two of the Chiefs three losses. Catch. The. Ball. #ChiefsKingdom
- Replying to @coachhookerI mean, they’re good enough for the NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes…🤷🏼♂️
00:00 - HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES: Don’t listen to “them”!! - go to prom! - take a break! - play multiple sports! - rest! (and not just physically!) - no, you don’t have to go to that showcase to be “seen”…it’s 2022! - ALL “levels” have value! - don’t let clout hunters steal your joy!
- Replying to @Simone_BilesThat’s the only reason I won’t perform your floor routine in public.
- RECRUITS: I can’t speak for all college coaches but, I spend as much time (or more) watching what you do WITHOUT the ball as what you do WITH it. Can you be active and impact the game without having the ball in your hand? In my program, at least, you’ll need to. #JustSayin
- Here’s Bill Self celebrating with the group of former KU players who were down here in New Orleans. He had something special to say to Mario Chalmers.
00:00 - The NAIA looks better and better every time I open this app.
- RECRUITS: We as coaches are doing the best we can to accommodate you in this bizarre new recruiting world. But, you NEED to get your applications done, add schools to your FAFSA, get your transcripts & test scores together. You want offers? What are you doing, to help yourself?
- “Kids today” just survived the hardest year on students since WWII. Think about it! No kids have suffered a combination of global crisis, economic disaster, social unrest, & scholastic shutdowns like this in 80 years. These kids & their teachers have done something extraordinary.
