Our kids lift weights in-season. Period. It’s the expectation. And yes, even on game days. And if you don’t like that or agree with it, this just isn’t the place for you to coach or be a part of our athletic programs. It’s not punishment. It’s research based development.

- In my 20+ years in high school athletics, this is without question, the toughest time to be a High School Coach. With so many outlets (Select Sports, Skill Coaches, Social Media, etc) there are that many more opinions about how people should do their job. There isn’t a more
- I fully understand club sports and the purpose behind them. My own kids play and will continue to play in these types of programs. My issues is this: Please stop making kids feel guilty for trying to be a valued member of their high school programs in a different sport! What I
- I have yet to see fire trucks bring AAU, 7 v 7, or club teams into town in celebration. While they all have their purpose, they should only be an accessory to HS sports, not a replacement. The lessons learned in scholastic sports, including representing a community, are critical
- Every AD in the country knows the feeling of walking out to the parking lot to this view (1 car left). It’s not a sad feeling at all... It’s a very proud one! Love this place, and love he people in it!
- Attention: Todays mask decision is sent down from the State and our Governor. DO NOT waste your energy criticizing your volunteer local School Board or your Admin. Their jobs are hard enough. NOBODY wants to wear a mask, but we ALL wants kids in school and on courts and fields!
- Words can’t express the pain we feel today on campus and in our community. Coach Love was a genuine man, who led with passion and joy. My memories of Justin are filled with that huge smile and his passion for people. We lost a great man today, and we will never, ever, forget him.
- Tonight our boys take the court at home for the first time without a man that meant so much...We remember him always....
- Dear College Coaches: Devin Wills - 5’10” 200lbs . 2nd in STL Metro with 1989 yards rushing & Leads STL in scoring with 32 TDs! He’s one of fastest kids in State (10.8 100m) but most of all, he’s a great human being! And did this against defending State Champs! Offer the guy!!!
00:00 - If we want to elevate high school athletic programs in this nation, we can start by encouraging kids to tweet more about how bad they want to win games and Championships w/ their teammates, & less about their offers & what camps they got invited to. Colleges love great teammates!
- More and more kids quitting sports because select program coaches and trainers are telling them it’s in their “best interests.” Shameful. Parents, just be careful. These aren’t mentors, they are entrepreneurs. They don’t get paid when your kid is practicing w/ friends at school!
- Tonight , at Alumni Field in Mascoutah, we will have 13 seats reserved for the 13 Soldiers that recently lost their life in Afghanistan. We will honor them with the playing of “Taps” prior to the Anthem. Also, a flag has been added for each military branch, on visitor bleachers.
- So sad this is a story. Yes,a coach challenged a kid for giving poor effort. No,he didn’t apologize for it,nor should he! So sick of tough love and discipline being on trial in today’s society! This type of leadership should be embraced as the expectation! es.pn/2YfNzDq
- This is, without question, a trying time as an Athletic Administrator. I can assure athletes & parents, that Athletic Directors across this state are doing everything in our power to provide our kids an opportunity in athletics this fall & beyond while keeping safety a priority.
