The legendary Sidney Poitier has reportedly passed away at 94. A true icon. Here is a powerful interview from him back in 1968 - he was addressing how he was being treated by the press. Rest in power.

Rest in power, Irene Cara. One thing I remember her for - along w/ that incredible voice - was how she fought back against her record label (sued and won) & her career was ruined. She was a black artist in the 1980s demanding a fair wage & the powers that be ended her career.

Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Mr Joe Madison. He was a true civil rights & radio legend. He was always so kind to me & encouraged me to be my authentic self, tell the truth & to “put it where the goats can get it” Here is my favorite pic of Mr. Madison w/ Rosa Parks

Breaking! Stacey Dash is apologizing. Maybe Omarosa can give her tips on where to go on the apology tour. They always wanna come back home, dont they? This part, “I was the angry, conservative, Black woman. I made alot of mistakes cuz of that anger." 😐 bit.ly/3t4safh

It's hilarious that Tim Scott is getting testy that people are in his personal life - being a single 57-year-old - yet he has been policing the homes of gay folks and women's bodies for decades. Doesn't feel good, does it, Timothy?

Thank you Vice President Kamala Harris (@VP) for coming on the #claycaneshow on SiriusXM (@UrbanViewRadio) to honor Mr. Joe Madison. May his commitment to justice inspire and resonate within all of us.

This is one of my favorite moments from Midwin Charles on @SXMUrbanView. It was the week of Biden's inauguration & she was shutting down the hate toward VP Kamala Harris. She also called out Justice Clarence Thomas. I am going to miss her so much.

First Black Republican elected to the Arizona legislature - Walter Blackman - is outraged that he is being called the n-word by right wing media. This is the same man who called BLM a terrorist group & said he doesn't support George Floyd. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

Rest in power, Mary Alice… one of my favorite lines from 1976’s Sparkle. “I’ve lived in Harlem all my life, I do know a rat when I see one.”

Hearing people call into the @karenhunter show talking about how their student loans were forgiven on @UrbanViewRadio is powerful - everyone should be reporting this. Debt ruins lives and families - this should be headline news.

If you missed me on MSNBC, see the clip below. Republican strategist Rick Tyler said Trump and Biden are “two sides of the same coin.” Later in the discussion, he called voter suppression “nonsense.” See more on my IG. Thanks to @yasminv for having us.
