- It turns out these JPEG inscriptions are awesome. Someone's wasting tons of money spamming the network in the hope it causes problems for bitcoin. Instead all they're doing is proving the DoS protection of limited block size works.

- Fun fact - JGarzik created cpu-miner at Satoshi's request as a general purpose CPU bitcoin mining program. I added GPU mining to it in 2011, renaming it to cgminer. It evolved to ASIC mining & is still in hardware today, having mined more than half of all bitcoin that exists.
