📣📣📣In 2015, 30 women peacemakers crossed the DMZ from North to South Korea. This is documented in a film “Crossings” which will air on PBS on Sunday July 23! It’s a deeply moving film by Emmy-award winning filmmaker Deann Borshay Liem. worldchannel.org/episode/doc-wo… @WomenCrossDMZ

Wuhan virus and kungflu wasn’t just Trump’s creation. How many Asian Americans have been called “chinks” or “gooks” or told how well we speak English or where are we really from? While I applaud Biden for condemning Asian violence, how much is US foreign policy perpetuating this?

56 percent of Americans view North Korea as the enemy yet I wonder how many know the Korean War never formally ended, that the US destroyed 80 percent of North Korea in 3 years of bombing, that the US has waged a near universal blockade on that country blocking trade and aid.

The roots of anti-Asian violence stems from the long history of US wars and militarism in Asia and Pacific. When you can drop thousands of bombs and splatter napalm and agent orange on millions of Asian lives, that dehumanization will come home to roost.

For the millions of Koreans and friends who were so pissed reading the @nytimes oped last week from the South Korean writer who calls for Koreans to get over their “national obsession” over Japan’s brutal colonial legacy.

There’s nothing progressive about your position, sadly. 9/10 South Koreans want to end the Korean War, our closest ally Moon/ROK want a second summit so that inter-Korean peace can proceed without the US interfering. I’m ready to brief your staff; it’s time to get woke on Korea.

Unbelievable. I was denied entry into South Korea. The Asiana Airlines agent at Honolulu International Airport informed me that after speaking with ROK immigration, they were not permitted to print my ticket. I’m supposed to keynote at an intl youth peace summit in Paju.

What a HUGE honor to be featured in @SenSanders video with his pioneering message: the best path for American Security is a peace agreement with North Korea. Thank you for offering a clear vision for a new US foreign policy on Korea. ❤️✌🏼🙏 @WomenCrossDMZ @KoreaPeaceNow

US taxpayer dollars being wisely spent trying to block oil from entering North Korea so the people can’t cook, heat their homes, run their tractors. Peace and dialogue would sure be far cheaper and would actually yield results than punishing North Korean civilians.
I recently spent four days on a US warship in the East China Sea looking for ships smuggling oil into North Korea. Here’s the story, and some more video and photos in a thread. 1/8 wsj.com/articles/we-go…

Gamechanger! First time in history US House of Reps votes to call for an end to Korean War! Thank you @RoKhanna for your leadership, calling for peace agreement as a vital next step to achieve lasting peace and denuclearization! Thanks to our allies, esp. @_ElizabethRB! ✌️❤️👏🏽
Great news! @RepRoKhanna's amendment calling for the House to endorse a formal end to the Korean War so that we can move toward peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula just passed! #KoreaPeaceNow

South Korea straying too far off the US leash. How dare South Korea seek to make peace with North Korea? Moon and South Korea get that progress towards a nuclear free Korean Peninsula begins with peace.
BIG PROBLEM. “We have a big problem coming with South Korea,” a senior US official involved in the talks said. “It has reached the point where the South Koreans are determined to press ahead. They no longer feel the need to act in parallel with us.” toyokeizai.net/articles/-/235…

Can someone please knock some sense into these hawkish Democrats who would rather throw shade on a second Trump-Kim summit than end America’s oldest war? We can bring war dollars back home. When will Democrats become the party of peace? #peaceisnotpartisan #peacetreatynow
Recap of the first summit: Trump’s creepy bear hug of Kim legitimized Kim’s campaign of torture and starvation Kim made zero concessions on nuclear program US screwed South Korea by giving up joint exercises, in exchange for nothing Uhhh...of course Kim wants another summit.

Led by “the resistance” Democrats, instead of investing in things that give Americans real security, they’re busy ensuring that Korea will forever be militarily occupied by the US. In case you thought South Korea was a sovereign nation...
