- Sam Darnold is going to get a lot of heat, deservedly so, but this is a major failure by everyone on offense, starting with the head coach/play caller. Just a dreadful showing all the way around.

- This is J.J. McCarthy at his first NFL game. He was 4 years old. The Bears hosted the Vikings that day. Monday night will be a full circle moment for McCarthy and his family.
- Unbelievable. Gophers win 68-65. What a big time win for Ben Johnson and his players considering they were without 3 of their top 4 scorers and severely depleted. Johnson is building something here folks. You can see it in the way his team plays.
- P.J. Fleck has had his best coaching performance to have his team this prepared and ready to play at their best after being knocked out of West contention yesterday. He deserves a ton of praise for this performance.
- True story: a week after Leslie Frazier was fired here in '13, he came back to town and went to dinner with writers who covered team every day to dinner. All off the record. It was a gracious and cool gesture a week after he was fired ....
