    It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of @YRP Detective Constable Rachel Rudolf after a courageous battle with cancer. Rachel was a dedicated police officer who valued hard work, her colleagues and the community she served. She will be missed.

    It is with great sadness that I share the tragic passing of @YRP Constable Travis Gillespie who was killed in a collision on his way to work today. He is survived by his parents, loved ones and colleagues. This unexpected loss is devastating for all members of our organization.

    With profound sadness I share the passing of one of our members. Det. Const.Meghan Crook was critically injured in a snowmobile accident on January 2 and tragically lost her battle today. Her friends, colleagues and family are in our thoughts. Meaghan was with @yrp since 2014.

    This evening I was very saddened to learn of the tragic death of Ed Lake. The losses to the Neville-Lake family are heart wrenching. YRP stands with our friend Jennifer and members of both families. May you find strength in the support of your community.

    It is with great sadness that we share the off-duty passing of @YRP Staff Sergeant Craig Heatley. On July 23, Craig and his wife were involved in a serious motorcycle collision in Meaford. Craig succumbed to his injuries. His wife is in serious but stable condition.

    It was very clear that Constable Travis Gillespie made an impact on a great many lives.   Today, hundreds of his family members, friends and colleagues - past and present - gathered to bid him farewell.   He will be missed and his memory will live on.

    Drugs and a loaded firearm has been seized following a traffic stop investigation Dec., 29th, in Markham. The driver, a 29-year-old male from Toronto has been charged. I commend the officers' actions. This is an excellent example of proactive policing. bit.ly/3FXT3tm
