    I just saw a delivery guy get knocked off his bike by the wind. Konti na lang daw, makakarating na siya sa delivery address. Ayaw niya paambulansya, gusto na niya umuwi. Please do not send these men and women out there in a storm. Set aside convenience, and exercise compassion.

    Huminto sa stoplight sa gitna ng coverage. May dalagitang kinilig na makakita ng kotse, lumapit para manlimos. “Ate,” sinabi ko nang malakas para tagos sa n95 - “umuwi ka. Delikado sa labas, magkakasakit ka. Uwi na, Ate.” Ngumiti siya, at humakbang paatras. “Wala akong bahay.”
