    Last Friday we lost our slatted barn to snow load. Huge part of our production cycle used for finishing cattle those last 120 days. Built in 1998 and making payments on it through the lean years of BSE had it’s own challenges but in 2008 added rubber matting made it a great barn

    Finished up corn harvest today. Huge yields this year, had one field touch 300 bu/Ac Fungicide paid big dividends this year.

    We re-implanted this pen of hfrs last Thursday weighing in at 1378 lbs gaining 3.9 lbs/day, there will be some big hfrs in here by December @BeefFarmersON @ONCornFedBeef

    2024 WeCover Beef Barn is complete. We moved our cow herd in this week for preg checking next week then we’ll be filling with feeder cattle that we’ve placed out at backgrounders over the last 6 months @BeefFarmersON @ONCornFedBeef @WeCover_Steel @mccannredimix @CanCattle

    Currently my favourite pen of cattle for pen checking. These cattle have only been in our barn for a week and are so content. Great stockmen ship where these cattle came from. Calm cattle = performance = great beef @canCharolais @BeefFarmersON @ONCornFedBeef

    Brought these 120 hfrs home today from one of our backgrounders from Bruce County. Perfectly backgrounded no grain no implants. You can see colour or breed was not a factor when purchasing these hfrs. Green with frame to finish with a 900 lb dress weight. @BeefFarmersON
