I recently shared with Premier Ford I will not be seeking re-election in June. Until then, I will continue what has been the honour of a lifetime to support our gov’t as Minister of Health. To the people of Newmarket-Aurora, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you.

According to our Chief Medical Officer of Health, the next few days are critical as families return home to Canada. I can’t stress this enough: please stay home and practice social distancing. Our success as a province in containing #COVID19 depends on all of us doing our part.

Great news! Yesterday, bookings on the provincial system more than doubled. Today, we’re already seeing thousands more Ontarians roll up their sleeves, nearly half of whom are receiving their first dose.

Extremely disappointed to see our hospitals & staff being the target of protests after all of their sacrifice during the pandemic. Peaceful protest is a right, but patients & our health care heroes do not deserve to be intimidated or obstructed from accessing or delivering care.

Ontario is reporting 33 cases of #COVID19, a 0.1% increase. This includes routine data clean-up by Toronto Public Health, which removed 21 cases, such as duplicates, that had previously been included in daily case counts. Yesterday, the province processed over 21,500 tests.

Incredibly humbled and honoured to be sworn in as Deputy Premier and Minister of Health in our new PC government. Congratulations to our entire caucus and to our Premier Doug Ford. Thank you to everyone who helped us get here. Now, let’s get to work. #onpoli

It’s official: for a full week, Ontario has now reported fewer than 100 cases, with 79 cases of #COVID19 today, a 0.2% increase. There are 148 more resolved as the persistent decline in active cases continues. Yesterday, the province processed nearly 28,000 tests.

We are updating Ontario's public reporting to distinguish patients hospitalized due to #COVID19 from those admitted for other reasons with COVID-19.

Rest assured, we have plenty of food that will continue to reach grocery stores on a regular basis as we continue to respond to #COVIDー19. We’re urging everyone to please practice normal grocery buying habits. news.ontario.ca/omafra/en/2020…

Ontario, it’s nearly 7:30 p.m., which means everyone should join me and @RNAO’s @DorisGrinspun in recognizing and celebrating the enormous contributions of our frontline care providers. What a great campaign led by our dedicated nurses. Thank you! #Cheer4HealthWorkers
