⚠️ PLEASE READ ⚠️
English-speaking fandom, if you are commenting under a Japanese artist's work that you like, DO NOT USE MEMES LIKE THIS. English humor/sarcasm does not translate well in Japanese and they will misunderstand even if you did not intend to be mean 😣

- One of the main reasons why Japanese artists hate reposts is because of their copyright laws. Fanarts and doujin events are only allowed to exist because the companies/creators purposely turn a blind eye on it out of kindness and just treat it as a way to promote their series.
- Replying to @ceallachs_I was wondering why an artist I like moved accounts, so I went down their original (which is now locked) and this is what I found. If you are interacting with a Japanese post, please just leave polite and positive comments. A simple "I love this!" is more than enough. 😓
- Replying to @ceallachs_I want to also add that this applies to ANY foreign posts. If you want to respectfully interact and express your appreciation, using very basic English compliments is the best way to go. Trust me, a simple, "This is so beautiful 💖🥰" will make their day tremendously!!
- Replying to @ceallachs_My mentions are bombarded so I can't reply to everything, but here are some acceptable reaction images you can use as an alternative instead. OP also included Japanese versions for it!!So I drew the reaction memes I always needed but never have 😂✨ Drew them as myself at first but decided to change them into bald blank stickmen so they’re gender neutral and everyone can use them 🤔 Feel free to save/use/edit them 😂✌🏻❤️
- Replying to @ceallachs_TLDR; Please stop reposting fanart. And more so please stop reposting Japanese artists' fanarts because they can get into some serious legal trouble if they lose control of where their works get posted 🙇♀️
- Replying to @ceallachs_So when people take jpn fanarts and repost them on multiple sites, you are getting these artists in trouble and giving them so much burden because they have lost control of their work and are unable to remove their work from the internet as per the laws in their country.
- Replying to @ceallachs_In turn, these creators cannot and do not make profit out of fanart; that involves merch and art commissions. Original prices of doujinshi are so cheap (200-1200 yen usually depending on the pages) because you're only paying for production costs. These are all passion projects.
- Replying to @ceallachs_If at any point let's say Horikoshi or Shueisha tells jpn fans to stop making fanart of MHA, jpn artists are very much prepared to delete all of their work from the internet to abide this. They get into this and post fanart knowing of the risks.
- Replying to @ceallachs_Reposting involves saving a picture and uploading it on your own site or accounts. Never do this. Easiest way to support your favorite artists is though likes, retweets, and (polite) comments on their work. If you want to share their art, just RT or link the original tweet/post!
- Replying to @ceallachs_If you don't want to write anything nor use any of the suggested reaction images, another way is to just use emojis. I've done this myself and artists respond with emojis too. If the art is sad, adding hearts to a sad face 😭💖💕 gets it across that you still love their work!
