No one from the government has appeared on @Channel4News for three weeks, and for the entire week we have not been given the opportunity to ask a question at the press conference. Extraordinary lack of engagement during a global crisis. #coronavirus

- Ridiculous (but sadly predictable) that people are cross with #Nazanin for speaking her mind. She was plenty grateful for being released (and spent quite some time exhaustively thanking people) but justifiably angry that she lost six precious years in jail. Wouldn’t you be?
- Dear @jonsnowC4 as you present your final @Channel4News tonight please know you have inspired so many in every corner of the world. I first started tuning in as a student, never dreaming I’d one day co-present with you. It has been the privilege of my life. Thank you!
- I asked if you were “content to back a lawbreaker in office”. You said “I certainly am”.Replying to @cathynewman and @ConservativesNot sure why your sub-editor is using quotation marks here @cathynewman
- Senior Tory after THAT press conference texts me: “I literally have no words.” #dominiccummings
- Para 14 of the spads’ code of conduct: “Special advisers must not take public part in political controversy...They must observe discretion and express comment with moderation, avoiding personal attacks, and would not normally speak in public for their Minister or the Department.”
- I asked Conservative MP Jonathan Gullis: if the #asylum system is “broken”, as @SuellaBraverman claims, did his party - in power for 12 years - break it or fail to fix it? He blamed @UKLabour and membership of the EU…
- We asked @GavinWilliamson to come on tonight’s @Channel4News to tell us how he intends to help pupils who have fallen behind during the pandemic but it was a no. He has yet to give us an interview since he became Education Secretary 19 months ago. The invitation remains open.
- To the lovely guy on a bike on the Embankment who just intervened to stop a man hassling me, I didn’t get chance to thank you properly. So: thank you. There are amazing people out there #activebystander
- It’s deeply depressing that so many politicians are either refusing to answer questions in interviews or avoiding interviews altogether. Surely an election campaign in a functioning democracy is about being prepared to be challenged on your policies so voters can decide? #GE2019
- This is @KwasiKwarteng in the Commons a year ago: "There is absolutely no question of the lights going out or people being unable to heat their homes. There will be no 3-day working weeks or a throwback to the 1970s. Such thinking is alarmist, unhelpful and completely misguided."
- Will the last person to leave the government please turn out the lights?
- Satirist @Aiannucci tells me on @Channel4News the sale of @Channel4 by @NadineDorries is “dangerous because it’s basically saying that any network or channel or broadcaster that becomes troublesome [the government] has the power to either defund or privatise or limit it.” At 7.
