    A reminder to all Americans that the net effect of our prime minister catching COVID-19 was that it prompted a surge of patriotic support. From which he emerged with renewed popularity. Which enabled him to tear up key functions of the state

    Ok. Deep breath. I think we may look back on this as the first Great Information War. Except we're already 8 years in. The first Great Information War began in 2014. The invasion of Ukraine is the latest front. And the idea it doesn't already involve us is fiction, a lie. 1/

    Be still my beating heart..@AOC asks Zuckerberg the question. I & others (notably @jason_kint) have been asking for a loooong time. When exactly did he first learn about Cambridge Analytica? Tell me, does this sound like a convincing answer to you?

    3 years ago, I was utterly unable to speak in public. I took betablockers to speak at my own father’s funeral. And on Monday I did this. Love me, loathe me...whatever. But human to human, please try & recognise how urgent I believe this is by the sheer fucking terror in my voice

    I’m going to bed. But it’s unbelievable that nearly 1,000 people died today. Someone’s mother, father, brother, sister, son. Meanwhile parliament is on its hols & BBC breathlessly reporting govt’s ‘Herculean efforts’. If you’re not angry, you’re honestly not paying attention
