If a fetus is a person at 6 weeks pregnant, is that when the child support starts? Is that also when you can’t deport the mother because she’s carrying a US citizen? Can I insure a 6 week fetus and collect if I miscarry? Just figuring if we’re going here we should go all in.

Nurse after taking my weight: “I see you have joint pain. The best remedy for joint pain is weight loss. If you lost 10% of your weight…” Me: “does weight loss fix the condition I was diagnosed with at 125 pounds and 25 years ago? You might want to read to the end.”

Shoutout to the lady drinking whiskey neat at 10:15 AM in the Delta Sky Lounge while reading The Handmaid’s Tale. I feel you sis.

“I don’t want a baby” is as good of a reason to have an abortion as “I am a rape survivor.” Similarly, “I have no desire to procreate” is as good of a reason to take birth control as “I have endometriosis.” It’s an ob/gyn office not a church.

Whenever I hear that schools can’t force students to wear masks I remember that time I got sent to the principal’s office for a skirt that was shorter than my fingertips. I guess “indecent” or “distracting to boys” is more important than “slow the spread of a global pandemic.”

Since so many folks are on this thread I’d like to encourage you to make a donation to my favorite Planned Parenthood affiliate @PPGulfCoast As evidenced by the latest legislation, affiliates in the south face an especially difficult challenge.

Dear press: Trump’s tweet is racist, not racially charged.

I’m thinking it should become a reason to stay every deportation order of a pregnant woman in Georgia and Alabama.

Yesterday @tressiemcphd said that if there’s an ideology that has indoctrinated academia it’s not CRT it’s economics. She’s 100% right. Economic ideas are used as cover and filler for harmful and half-baked ideas across all disciplines and for egregious administrative decisions.

When I tweeted this almost 5 years ago a lot of conservatives said it was “absurd” and “silly.” However, you cannot change the legal status of embryos and fetuses without impacting every aspect of the law that applies to a legal “person.” See Alabama, Georgia, and even Virginia.

I’m always fascinated by lawyers who blindly follow rules because it’s the rule. I went to law school because I believe in breaking, pushing the limits of, and changing any rule that doesn’t have a good answer to why.

We should be more honest with first generation students about the earning potential of degrees. If you graduate with a JD and $300K in debt you will not earn enough in 90% of jobs for a $3K/month payment, and if you do income based payments your balance will not decrease.
