U.S. to be coldest region in world relative to normal over next week. Please note rest of world will be much warmer than normal lest anyone try to claim pocket of cold in U.S. debunks global warming, which they will invariably and irresponsibly do. wapo.st/2zEovsu
The coldest weather (relative to average) will be positioned right over North America through at least the next 7-days... [Maps: karstenhaustein.com/climate]

The smoke -- making the Eastern U.S. look like California at the peak of fire season -- is not normal. The air is compromised from Minneapolis to DC to Boston, and the worst from western NY to arround Ottawa. A thread... 1/

Re-write: Brutal and brief cold blast in Northeast will shatter some records. Most of the rest of the world is warmer than normal. This year will be among the warmest years on record for the planet, again. Global warming is indisputable.
Brutal and Extended Cold Blast could shatter ALL RECORDS - Whatever happened to Global Warming?

The four warmest years in recorded history for the planet have occurred in the last four years, including 2018 - which ranked fourth warmest. You might have heard this direct from NOAA and NASA if the government was open and you listened to their excellent scientists.
Be careful and try staying in your house. Large parts of the Country are suffering from tremendous amounts of snow and near record setting cold. Amazing how big this system is. Wouldn’t be bad to have a little of that good old fashioned Global Warming right now!

BREAKING: The planet may have seen its highest temp since at least 1931 today. Death Valley hit 130, a preliminary August record for the globe. If confirmed, this is one of top 3 highest temps ever measured on Earth and arguably highest reliably measured.

Meteorologists are in awe. The National Hurricane Center predicted where #Laura would make landfall within 0.6 miles 87 hours in advance, and at the exact time it came ashore. How they did it: wapo.st/3b1ubRq

    Replying to @capitalweather
NWS director Louis Uccellini received standing ovation at weather conference #NWAS19 for backing its forecasters (who said Alabama was not at risk from #Dorian) rather than @NOAA political appointees, who sided with the President.
