- My last scoop. At 1 p.m. today, after beginning my career at The Edmonton Journal in 1967 I received a phone call from Toronto informing me my position had been eliminated by Post Media. Thank you all so much for reading. Hardly the way I hoped it would end. -30-
- I authored books on Wayne Gretzky. I covered him for a decade in Edmonton in the WHA and NHL and extensively after he departed. I have viewed him as the greatest player in history and as a great Canadian. He needs to face the nation and explain his relationship with Donald Trump.

- NHL should thank Craig Button for keeping fans in Canada engaged by not only selecting the all-time teams for all seven teams but by putting himself our there to handle the abuse from fans who think the league started in about 2006.
