I am so sad. The argument that the elderly and weak may just have to die to enrich the young and strong — painted as some sort of sacrifice, rather than a horrific outcome that we should fight against — is so bleak and hopeless. Lord, change hearts. Lord, protect the weak.

I hadn’t seen the videos of rioters reading Trump’s tweet about Pence as they were breaching the building. This is so damning.

Stop talking about a “final straw.” This president endorsed a credibly accused child molester for the Senate. He defended racists and neo-Nazis after Charlottesville. His decision to cozy up to a murderous dictator isn’t a surprise to Republican lawmakers. They know who he is.

Remember this? Manafort literally received an email that had the line, "This..is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump."
Mr. Manafort added, “It’s not like these people wear badges that say, ‘I’m a Russian intelligence officer.’” nytimes.com/2017/02/14/us/…

Just to reiterate for members of the press: AOC seems to have had a truly frightening experience on January 6th, but members of the mob did not break into her office. The man she hid from was a Capitol Police officer who told her to go to a different office building.

The leader of the free world deciding not to seek re-election as he was facing criticism from members of his own political party is actually the opposite of a tyrant, bent on remaining in power, murdering political dissidents
Y’all can argue over the word coup, but Biden stepping aside is the American equivalent of all those people accidentally falling out of windows in Russia.
