- absolutely devastated to announce that plotting & outlining your book before writing, does in fact make writing it easier
- the feminine urge to daydream about scenes in your book instead of writing them

- the amount of shock i experience when reading non-slowburn romance novels bc i’ll be like “y’all are falling for each other already??? in this economy???” but then i remember that i’m demiromantic & my crushes take 1-2 business years to develop but for other people they don't
- good news: i am writing bad news: i am not writing the book i am Supposed to be writing
- i love quiet books. books where i get to see the main character’s routines, follow light conversations between them & their friends, watch their flawed worldview change slowly over time & then all at once. i love books that remind me there is beauty in simplicity.
- the way i absolutely love villainous female characters & corruption arcs. give me women who are entirely ruthless & unapologetic about achieving their twisted goals. who’ve been hurt & betrayed so many times it doesn’t matter who they hurt because they have nothing left to lose.

- did it hurt? when you wrote a romance novel because you've never experienced requited love & can only dream about it through fictional characters?
- visited an indie bookstore by where i live & i legitimately think this is heaven
- white people, please remember that this is the bare minimum. don't call it justice. don't go cheering or celebrating on the tl because black people are still suffering and dying and our hearts are still breaking ever day. this is not the win you think it is.
