BREAKING: Baylor’s Faculty Senate voted on a resolution this afternoon to recognize Gamma Alpha Upsilon as an official student org. It passed with 26 votes in favor, 9 opposed and 4 members abstaining. The decision ultimately lays on the Baylor administration. Story to come.
BREAKING: Student government passed the “No Crying on Sundays Resolution” with senators voting 30 to 15. The bill asks for a reinterpretation of the human sexuality statement, allowing LGBTQ groups to officially form on campus. The sexuality statement hasn’t changed since 2009.
BREAKING: Judge Robert Pitman has dismissed Art Briles and Ian McCaw from the lawsuit, saying the plaintiff did not prove their case against them. Pitman also dismissed gross negligence claims against Baylor, but the Title IX and negligence claims against Baylor still stand.
