In remembrance of Atsushi Sakurai, these are the projects that others have started and you can participate too. More in the works and will be added below. #bucktick
Hisashi’s words got me crying now. “I thought the 5 of us would be in a band forever. I always knew it was “impossible”, that this day would come. I wanted to play guitar next to Acchan forever. But, continuing ✌️ everything is gonna be alright
At the October 19 show at Zepp Yokohama, Atsushi appeared unwell during the first song. By the second song, he was sitting and singing. By the third song, staff took him to the hospital. He died that night. sponichi.co.jp/entertainment/…
Let us not forget that every moment since 1997 has been a gift. Atsushi almost died at the end of 1996 from peritonitis. The Sexy Stream Liner album was a gift. Schwein was a gift. The Mortal was a gift. We got 27 years as a gift.
Glanced at my desk and saw these keys. Bought this keychain in 1989 (possibly 1990). The material has long lost its luster. The band’s material has not. #bucktickforever
Before Atsushi was the singer of Buck-Tick, he was their drummer. Araki was the original vocalist, now living in obscurity. Hisashi started coaching a replacement but Atsushi forced his way from drummer to vocalist. Then U-ta brought his brother Toll to be the drummer. 1985-2023
U-ta blogs in the mobile fan club site and says Atsushi went to heaven and he can't stop crying. Please pray for Atsushi's afterlife and watch over Buck-Tick.
My friend described the experience of walking through The Ceremony as so somber. No one was talking, just the sounds of tears and sobbing. She even cried at the reality of Atsushi being gone from this world hitting her. No photos allowed inside but she shared this.
Earlier waiting for the concert, I was thinking how I have to renew my Japanese passport soon. Then the men in their early 60s took the stage and I thought how lively Buck-Tick are for their ages as well. Then during a break I checked Twitter and my world is forever changed
