    Our very own Todd Standish, the 2020 Class A recipient of the Tony Adams Hustle Award. The yearly award is given out at the @SDAmateur state tournament to a Class A and Class B player who “showcases the ability to work hard and leave it all on the field.” Congratulations, Todd!

    Cubs win the north district! Defeated Aberdeen, 7-6, then Castlewood, 7-3 in the championship. We’ll represent the north district in the state tournament starting next weekend in Renner.

    Cubs win! Twice! First time since 2009 we’ve got a title shot! Jake Anderson’s 11th inn walkoff sac fly capped a 6-5 W over Aberdeen. Marcus Heemstra tossed a 131 pitch CG, securing a 12-5 W over Brandon. One game for all the marbles tomorrow at noon against the SF Brewers.

    So…we tried to play a home game against @MilroyIrish tonight. 4 outs and 25 pitches later, lightning hit something fairly close by, and then we got 2 inches of rain in about an hour. So it ended up being a night at @CubbysBrookings for both teams. And that’s a win every time.
