Just heard announcer say, “you can never leave your feet to make a pass”......disagree.....We tell our guys “you can leave your feet to make a pass, you can’t leave your feet to find a pass!”

- Dear 4th/5th grade coach playing all trapping zone D....please stop & teach your kids fundamentals on BOTH ends of the floor. If you don’t know how to teach basic man principles, call your local HS coach or reach out to someone on Twitter, etc. Thank You!
- Players need to know that a coach can't "experiment" in games by putting you in. You must prove yourself in practices. It's just the way it works!
- Watching a 5th grade game..Coach has his team in a full court zone press back to a 2-3. No one gaining anything except the coach who is acting like it’s a Final Four game. Every league should ban zones of any kind until at least 7th or 8th grade.
- When we say “Family” after every break down, we mean it! This one hurts! 💔RIP Cam! Smart, kind, thoughtful & could play! We love you Cam & are praying for your family & all of our players who are grieving this loss. 😢🙏❤️
- True story: Sub in our building asks me if I’m going to the game tonight. I say, “Yes, I plan on going”….She says, “That Coach Brost does a great job.” I said, “He has his moments.” She responds, “See you there tonight.” And heads down the hallway! 😂😜😂
- Grandpa drives 6+ hours each way…by himself…gets home at 4am the next morning…to see his grandson play live for the first time…happens to be for the State Title…which grandson’s team won…this moment…PRICELESS!!! ❤️ Photo courtesy of big sister!!! ❤️
- One of the biggest conclusions I have come to in my 20+ years as a coach....don’t overcoach! Give your players freedom! Let them figure it out most times. Surely guide, & hold them accountable, but don’t micromanage every move!
- Well, this is pretty cool & humbling! Found out (officially) today, I am being inducted to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame! Class of 2025! Wow! Blessed beyond measure!
