To everyone who’s bought a book from us recently: thank you. We’re reaching for just 10% of our subscribers and followers to buy a book from us, which would sustain our work in a big way. If you haven’t yet, and you can, we’d love your support. brokensleepbooks.com
A minimalist digital graphic on a white background. Bold black text at the top reads 'What if just 10% bought a book?' Beneath it is a simple open book icon, followed by smaller black text saying, 'Your support changes everything.' In red text below, it reads, 'To everyone who’s already bought a book—thank you.' At the bottom, the website 'brokensleepbooks.com' is displayed.

Delighted and relieved to have received Arts Council funding of £29k, allowing us to expand our online events to include workshops and masterclasses, while also offering in-person readings. This ensures we can continue to widen access to the arts. With thanks to @ace_national

    A CALL TO ARMS:
One book could make all the difference.

We got the news, yesterday, that the Arts Council have rejected our recent grant bid. While this doesn’t affect our plans going forward, it does mean we don’t have the same financial security as other arts organisations may have.

We have over seven thousand (7,000) newsletter subscribers, and over twenty thousand (20,000) followers spread across our social media accounts. If everybody who is subscribed to this newsletter bought just one book we would have the sort of financial security we could only dream of. It would ensure we can continue to create and grow new avenues for Broken Sleep Books, while maintaining the charitable and community-based endeavours we have always engaged in.

We have got to where we are because of you, because of every reader and author we’ve ever worked with, for, and towards. Just one book from every newsletter subscriber and we’d be safeguarded for years.
