Cool thing about this is that Ant is exactly right. KAT knows it and takes the praise in stride.
Ant removing the PTSD of KAT's first six years here one compliment at a time.
Nobody should be surprised that the most persistent player on the Wolves, the one who never takes a play off, and was himself raised without a father, would be there for his own child on day one.
Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job."
As KAT gets feted for his 3-pt shooting contest crown, a reminder that he ranks 7th in NBA history in true shooting percentage. Five of the 6 ahead of him are trad bigs, none of whom ever shot more than 20 treys in their careers. The other one is Steph Curry.
Note to TNT crew: Wolves fans don't make asses out of themselves for $ to gull the rubes in the cheap seats. We see Shaq & Kenny make schtick out of sprinting to the board, Shaq selling weed-killer or whatever it is this week + Charles joyfully not knowing half the teams in NBA.
Some happy news. My old friends at @MinnPost have stepped into the breach with a generous offer to provide me a forum to write about the Wolves on at least a weekly basis at least through the end of the year. $ is the same or better, my choice of topic unquestioned. 1/2
Want to talk about Ant's character for a minute.
He's become a supernova media presence, yet guilelessly answers every question as honestly as possible and comes out of it looking like a prince every time. You do that via integrity and generosity of spirit, not calculation.
If you are a Wolves fan, your team has the second ranked offense, second ranked defense, best net rating and best won-lost record since the All Star break. Embrace or forever hold your peace (piece).
Shout out to @DaneMooreNBA
*Pays own way to Wolves road games
*Sits behind bench in Chicago, hears PatBev say to teammates, "this is what we've asked for all season."
*Figures out it's reference to switch-heavy def scheme
*Confirms it postgame w/PatBev, educating fans + media
Marney Gellner is the logical heir to Tom Hanneman as the studio presence viewers look forward to seeing. Entertaining and provides facts and contexts without hogging the screen from the color commentator.
