I often work with young researchers who don't convert R&Rs to publications. I definitely don’t do everything well! But I put a lot of effort into this and have a 24/24 conversion rate. So I am passing along six tips based upon my experience as an author and editor. #Econtwitter

I often see young researchers wait too long to submit. This can be problematic, given long waits and high rejection rates at journals. But one can also submit too early. I provide some tips here , as an author and editor, on when to submit. #EconTwitter
7 tips for research exhibits:
* figures better than tables, esp. for presentations
* big fonts
* use informative variable labels, not Stata variable names
* don't use scientific notation. Re-scale variables
* use a consistent number of decimal places
* self-contained
* use colors
