Americans quote tweeting this, saying “we have this too!” and then sharing photos of their Panera outdoor seating overlooking a sea of asphalt parking lot

Democrats showed a complete failure to build during my adult life. 12 years of massive capital resource allocation with little to show Imagine if they had built a useful section of California high speed rail. 100 miles of track we could use right now. Or if they had given

Our family has been doing the hardcore American suburban adventure thing for the last week. Some observations: (1) Any family that chooses an SUV over a minivan is making an entirely ego-driven purchase. These mobile living rooms are the ideal suburban land yacht

Wild story. Citizens of SF install guerilla swing in Bernal heights. City bureaucracy removes the swing multiple times San Francisco’s official Travel Marketing organization just featured the swing in a national TV spot. Our bloated, overfunded, overstaffed,

The swing was just featured in an ad on national TV! The ad played during the college football game of the week Saturday night. Wondering if you'd be willing to share your thoughts on the swing getting shown to a national television audience?youtube.com/watch?v=9jIZgg…

Market street isn’t closed for the first time today, it’s finally open! Today is the first day I felt comfortable riding market street with my daughter. It was so quiet, safe, and full of life. This opens entire new parts of the city to our family #carfreemarketstreet

This is actually the clip that isn’t being shared and most important to watch Zelensky shared a very detailed response to JD’s “diplomacy” comments. And Jd didn’t like hearing the truth. Ukraine tried diplomacy! Putin is a criminal invader! He doesn’t abide by ceasefires
Holy shit, President Zelensky fact checked asshole JD Vance and he lost his shit. Shut your lying pie hole and go fuck a couch, JD.

I’ve never seen the city move that fast to do anything. Anything!

I just love to sit out on my front porch and try to make eye contact (through giant trucks and SUVs blocking my view) with my neighbors walking by Oh right. No one walks here anyway

In Golden Gate park, the directors of two museums, backed by the wealthiest donors in the Bay Area, are fighting to convert JFK promenade, enjoyed by thousands of kids, into car parking. Meanwhile the garage directly beneath the museums is so empty teens play handball there 🙄

Um. No? My kids are “inner city” kids smack dab in the center of San Francisco. We would HATE to have to get in a car every day just to get to the pictures school. We usually bike or walk to our school and then spend afternoons in the giant Golden Gate Park.

The Chevy Bolt is literally the only electric car that I was considering replacing our 10 year old Impreza for. America is unwilling to produce narrow, small, urban family cars. It’s all Land Yachts and Monster Trucks from our auto industry. We need major weight, size and tax
GM is killing off the Chevy Bolt and retooling its factory to produce electric trucks. In one fell swoop, a step backward for road safety, emissions mitigation, and EV affordability. cnbc.com/2023/04/25/gm-…

San Francisco residents have to drive to the suburbs for holiday shopping now. Because woke-fueled lawlessness crushed our urban retail economy. Thx @chesaboudin et al.
Black Friday in Union Square is no more. This makes me both sad and angry. Our elected officials told us (and I believed) retail patterns changing are why nobody shops downtown SF. But the reality is they ignored public safety and took criminal justice reforms too far. 🧵

16 y/o San Francisco high school students can legally operate a car at 65mph but they can’t use a shared bike or scooter

San Francisco’s newest park is a former highway. The Great Highway is now GreatWalkway.com I can not overstate the importance of this moment for ending car dominance of our urban public space.
