Cursor is being opinionated about where they think SWE is going and I like it It’s only been ~6 months but we’ve really sprinted from AI-IDE to CLI to background agents as the UX for AI driven development Most folks will still prefer CLIs for the next 2-3 months, but very clear
Introducing Cursor 2.0. Our first coding model and the best way to code with agents.

The new link experience on X is actually insane? Super snappy, doesn’t take you out of it, and it feels like it’s super obvious in hindsight Last time I felt this way about a consumer product UX was snapchat’s swipe to switch views Incredible work by @nikitabier and the @X team

Anthropic has had the most significant AI product contributions for a lab by a long shot, almost charitably Artifacts (text to app), MCP, Claude code (CLI) — they’ve innovated and created entire product sectors, and billion dollar companies are modeled after their creations

We've raised $2.3B in Series D funding from Accel, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Thrive, Nvidia, and Google. We're also happy to share that Cursor has grown to over $1B in annualized revenue and now produces more code than any other agent in the world. This funding will allow

Current takeaways from first 6 months living in NYC after having lived in SF: - NYC rent is step function more expensive than SF on a value basis - NYC is a better food city outside of Viet and Mexican food - NYC is 10x more walkable - Moving back to SF feels inevitable

In hindsight, absolutely nuts that a single startup (clubhouse) was able to get even the product teams at slowest/largest companies to ship clones at breakneck/historic pace (twitter, slack, etc)
