- If a “meaningless” job enables you to accomplish some other goal that’s meaningful to you, it becomes a meaningful job
- You can spend 20 years feeling like you wasted your life, but if you’re able to somehow get healthy after all that, your sudden ability to enjoy the present moment can erase decades of regret. The past can be rewritten, or at least perceived from a different angle

- In college I thought I was dumb but I was actually just inflamed. If you have moments of brilliance that’s your actual intelligence level, it’s probably just shrouded in brain fog and stress hormones a lot of the time

- Don’t forget about the rats in a bucket that could keep treading water for over 24 hours if they’d had just a single previous experience of being saved
- Dating when you don’t love your own life is kinda like taking a trip when you don’t have a home
