    preston coming for other roblox games is so funny because he is known on the platform for stealing ideas/capitalizing on the popularity of other games. he's done this to me, but this is probably the clearest recent example . he does this all the time

    the worst thing young roblox developers are taught is that they need to be entrepreneurs, not artists. making money will make you happy when you're 16, but you are doing nothing for the medium by stuffing your game with micro-transactions. roblox is partially responsible here

    this is a little less explicit but in 2018 when we released "cherry bombs" as a plant for feed your pets, preston released a cherry bomb pet a few days after. over the next couple months pretty much our entire audience went into pet sim 1, we eventually dropped the game.

    streamingEnabled is the funniest thing roblox has ever done because it could be a great tool for memory management if we just explictly got to choose what to stream to the client and when, but they're obsessed with predicting every feasible usecase instead (& ignoring that 1)

    its awesome that if you're a small dev, an exploiter can join your roblox game and nuke your like/dislike ratio and essentially destroy whatever little community you had, and roblox does little to nothing to stop it!
