My introduction to Jäger Bombs during the Edgbaston Test in 2016! Vaughan, Blofeld, Tufnell and Warne. What a quartet! I had three! They were delicious and I wanted to go again the next night but they chickened out!!!

What a dreadful day for cricket. Rod Marsh, a great man, who recalledDerek Randall in the Centenary Test at the MCG and was horrified by Trevor Chappell’s underarm ball. And then Shane Warne, the greatest bowler ever who taught me to drink Jaegar Bombs! RIP Rod & Shane

It's only just beginning to sink in.That incredible walk round Lord's. Then I was asked into the England dressing room! What an amazing end!

Smith & Warner should never be allowed to play again. Lehman must go & Bancroft tho he was presumably sucked in & to curry favour went along with it. Like match-fixing, ball tampering is a cancer and those caught, must be completely cut out. Aussie PM’s reaction was spot on.

Allelujah! The sun is shining for what looks as if it will be my last day commentating with TMS. Let's hope for a humdinger of a finish!

A long time ago!! The amazing Brian Johnston, Blowers and dear CMJ. How lucky I was to share the TMS box with such great men - and what fun we had!

The Lord's caterers gave me two lobsters for my last working lunch! Lobster Thermidor and it was way beyond exceptional. What a last day!

It’s the saddest & most unbelievable cricket crisis ever. An Australian captain openly admits cheating & then says he’s not going to resign the job. Poor old Jim Maxwell. His tearful reaction that of a true sportsman. I wonder how much the vice-captain had to do with all this

I couldn’t be more thrilled that the Aussies won the World Cup. Talk about going into the lions’ den and coming out first. Well done all of them. it won’t do India any harm. They’re getting a bit too big for their boots!

Bob Willis was a great man with a wonderful, wonderful dry sense of humour. Almost 30 years ago we spent two summers driving round England together while working for Sky. What fun and laughter we had and what excellent wine we drank!!! I shall miss him.l very much.

I’m sure Alastair Cook has made the right decision. The pressure of Test cricket is huge. It’s hardly surprising he feels he can’t summon up the cutting edge any more. We must all be enormously grateful not only for what he has done but for the selfless way he has always done it.
