early en fandom was convinced that mizuki was actually nonbinary and bullied the translation team into using exclusively they/them on mizuki. it's not like she can't be she/they but the constant they/them on mizuki is degendering her and softening the impact of her story

that's what i'm saying. the entire reason she is the way she is, is because has literally only ever wanted to help people and she just gave and gave until nothing was left. her entire thought process is "if everyone else is happy first, that means i can be happy" 😭
