Berating and tearing down your players as a travel coach and saying it’a preparing them for the college level is simply not true. We don’t mentally deplete our players and no travel ball player or parent should put up with it. My free advice for the week.

It’s more than telling our athletes it’s okay to not be okay. While that’s a huge part of it, it’s also equipping them with the skills to ask those who are struggling difficult questions and get them to the people who can help. Gatekeeper training is vital right now.

A lot out there about the lack of offense for USA softball… at the end of the day they’re winning. At the highest level, and really any level, it’s defense, pitching, and some timely hitting. I’ll take it to the grave with me. Keep games close and give yourself a chance to win.

To all those athletes not signing an NLI today, keep your heads up! I can give you 20 examples of formers PSAs who didn’t sign an NLI and I’d say landed on their feet… in fact a few of them might land on the moon some day…

Today we lost the plug for first base and had to dig around the first base area for quite some time... it’s been the most normal thing to happen me in almost 12 months. And no we didn’t find it. @coach_toric
