As a head coach now in my 20th year, the one constant has been that players who love spending time in this room are the same ones that I trust the most on the field. Work ethic, toughness, overcoming adversity, earning respect of your teammates, etc. are all built in this room.

- I’m just a HS coach that doesn’t know much, but if I was ever a college recruiter I would go all in on tough kids that compete. I see a lot of soft kids that are good in a showcase format getting offers but others that you will win with don’t.
- Baseball coaches list of things to be thankful for 1 - pitchers that throw strikes 2 - Inf that make routine plays 3 - 2 out RBIs 4 - pitchers that throw strikes 5 - singles turned into doubles 6 - throws thru the cutoff man 7 - did I mention pitchers that throw strikes

- 67% of K’s begin w/ a 1st pitch strike 74% of BB begin with a 1st pitch ball 93% of 1st pitch strikes lead to an out It’s not real complicated pitchers
- I believe one of the biggest challenges facing coaches in today’s showcase generation is getting players to truly buy in to playing for something greater than themselves.
