Trey Burke held an 11-year record for “cleanest chase down block that was called a foul” in an NCAA Tournament game. However, that ended last night. This is somehow an even worse call than that, and it came with under a minute left in a one-point game.

You can’t call a Notre Dame team who played toe-to-toe with Georgia on the road overrated. Michigan thoroughly dominated a top 10 team and that is going to be a tough pill for the Harbaugh haters to swallow.

Luckily for Michigan, a former assistant coach getting hired by the team prepping against you is of no competitive advantage for the Tide. If Alabama has blurry IPhone footage of the team’s signals from 23 rows up at the Big House, however, that would be concerning.
SOURCES: Former Michigan LB coach George Helow has been hired by Alabama to the Crimson Tide staff. Helow spent the 2021-2022 seasons on the UM staff. Bama faces Michigan in the Rose Bowl, Jan. 1. theathletic.com/5121660/2023/1… theathletic.com/5121660/2023/1…

Here is a thread of some Mike Valenti quotes when Michigan basketball first hired Juwan Howard: “This absolutely to me is a dud of a hire.” “You’re not gonna come into the big ten and win basketball games like this.”

In 2023, after Connor Stalions left the program, Michigan’s opponents had eight opportunities to shape a narrative that the Wolverines’ were successful due to signal deciphering. Instead, the Wolverines went 8-0 and etched their names into CFB history:

Feel bad for an icon like Charles Woodson have to see Michigan football look like that. And he couldn’t be more spot on here.

A toss play from the shotgun at the 1-yard line is an insane decision when you could just do this instead:

There’s no way any honest person could be up in arms about UM having other teams’ signals, and in the same breath overlook an allegation that Big 10 coaches were colluding to steal UM’s signals and pretend that’s not a big deal. That’s called having an agenda/double standard.

Juwan Howard and Michigan did a ton wrong in this incident. But, Wisconsin: You had one assistant coach make contact with Michigan players, another literally tackle a player, and a third coach/staffer performing the “suck it” gesture. You are far from heroes in the matter.

Since the NCAA didn’t grant their dying wish of dropping their definition of “the hammer” on Michigan football, some Ohio State fans are now resorting to mocking an ex-Wolverine RB who was 4-0 in his college career against the team they root for:

Since Shea Patterson arrived at Michigan, he has a 62.3 completion percentage with 25 TDs and 7 interceptions. That won’t get you benched on any team, so not sure why I keep seeing people calling for that.
