The X-Files is on TV, everyone is screaming about Hillary Clinton and there’s a bug in Pentium chips. Thanks to all involved for helping me achieve my dream of it being 1994 again.
Excuse me, but "virtue signaling” and "power hierarchy”? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.
Happy birthday to Wing Commander I, which was released 33 years ago today! It marked an epochal shift in how computer games were played, made and sold... and I guess you could say it has been pretty big in my life, too!
Here are the amazing takeoff and landing sprites from the original Wing Commander. Along with the cockpits these were absolutely essential in establishing the player's ship in their head (and showing-not-telling damage after a mission!).
There’s a lost Wing Commander game out there, somewhere. The SNES port of Wing Commander II was finished but never published. Please spread the word and someday we’ll find it!
