- Lewis Amaral was born over the weekend at Women & Infants Hospital, four days past his due date and a bit on the long side. A born journalist, in other words. He’s doing great and mom Kaitlyn is recovering well.

- Friends: I'm leaving The Boston Globe for a job outside journalism. As a kid I kept copies of the Globe under my bed in Chelmsford after historic events. Mostly Red Sox games. Now I get to keep my own stories with them. More than that, I got to work with wonderful colleagues.
