How dare anyone utter a word against us, especially any outsider ? Our troll armies will rip them into pieces. If they were here we'd pin them down with FIRs, set our agencies against them, jail them without bail, convict them. We're the most open democracy ever. Mind it☝️

This is @BeingSalmanKhan at his best. It's the kind of thing he's been doing for years. Salman Khan to help 25000 daily wage workers from film industry, will transfer money in their accounts - bollywood - Hindustan Times

The message going out repeatedly is loud & clear - if you're a vandal, arsonist, rioter, mobster - as long as you're on our side, not a hair on your head will be touched; If you're not, we can nail you, jail you, deny you bail, on the flimsiest of pretexts or trumped up charges

If the gold standard of TV drama is set by HBO (Succession) & BBC (The Crown), the one Indian show that makes that cut is Scam 1992. Brilliant, binge-worthy financial thriller & true morality tale. Take a big bow @mehtahansal @pratikg80 @nairsameer @001Danish @SPNStudioNEXT

Resurrected from a forgotten box of negs: pics from the very first Quiz Time, 1985 — when Sunday 9 p.m. on DD became quiz time for the whole country. IIT Kanpur took the title, Presidency College Calcutta a breath behind. The cleanest pics yet, unseen since they were clicked

Call it what you will, it remains a mughal garden, bec it was conceived & designed as one, with it's rectilinear layout of char baghs, pools, canals with running water & fountains, signature features of mughal gardens elsewhere in the country & region, inspired by Persian gardens
The iconic MUGHAL GARDENS at Rashtrapati Bhavan has been renamed AMRIT UDYAN. Remember a rose by any name would smell as sweet.. Name change toh chalta rahega… a garden is about its lovely flowers and not its not so lovely politics!😊

So, anyone who dares to stand up & speak out for the marginalised is an Urban Maoist. What does that make those who stand mute or are quite in favour of terrorising in the name of the cow, Urban Cow-ists ?

No insult or disrespect whatsoever was intended to the memory of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a question on KBC 11. This season there have been a number of questions which have all used his name with the full title. Apologies for the inadvertent omission of title in the choice

Oh, wow. 777 crores down the tubes for what now seems to have served only as a temporary set for ribbon cutting & photo ops

We have many, many mother tongues, many people have transferrable jobs. We've had a 3 language formula that's worked well enough with English as a link language, giving us a global advantage. Ruling it out as a lingua franca is a recipe for chaos and a big brake on integration.
By far the biggest story of the day: new education policy which says medium of instruction till class 5 should be in regional language/mother tongue. How many think this is a good idea?

Madras Cafe was a rare political thriller, released in 2013. Could never get a theatrical release in Tamilnadu or as far afield as UK, or Canada. The truth of the matter is, when it comes to movies on real people & issues : "Humankind cannot bear very much reality"
