As I sit in the top row of the bleachers to watch my son wrestle, I continue to be disappointed w/parents behavior at HS events. U are not the coach & the underpaid official who gave up his nite, isn’t trying to cheat. Sit back and enjoy the moment, it wil be over b4 u know it!

The fact that Tom Izzo is being chastised for coaching a player hard should tell you a little bit about where we are as a society. #soft

If HS coaches are constantly putting pressure on athletes to attend their HS sport specific summer team events, aren’t they to blame for specialization in HS sports? Some HS coaches need to ask themselves if they are part of the problem or the solution. Stop blaming others!

If you are a parent of child involved with youth sports and you are not a coach..Sit in your car until practice is over! If you sit in the bleachers and shout instructions at your child, the coaches dislike you and your child thinks you are annoying!

Attended 20+ HS gms this yr. If you can pass, catch, pivot, value the ball and play off two feet, you can start for any of the teams I watched. Youngsters need to get in the gym and work on their skill set.

Parents & AAU hoop ‘coaches’ that play more games than practice sessions-You’re not a coach. You’re a Chaperone! The HS game is suffering at an incredible rate. Contact your local HS coach for advice, they will help! #nofundamentals

Last home match of Drew HS career. Team wins 1st conf title in 71 yrs. Undefeated career in home matches & more importantly Undefeated interacting with all who look up to him. Proud of the way he helped change a culture and a reminder for all athletes that you are being watched!

9u baseball update. Walk up music. 7 parents in dugout. 1 parent bitching at ump. 1 parent grabbing a kids face mask after strikeout. 1 parent down foul line during love play. Photo op after game with rings/banners. Parents packing kids bat bags in dugout. Stay Awesome Parents

People hv asked how my son wrestles coming from a hoops background where dad/uncle played/coach. It’s never been about me or what sports I wanted my kids involved in. I think it’s important to expose kids to different activities because you never know where their passion may lie

No reason the district should notify the students of school cancellation in advance...These kids need to get their ass up at 530am and patiently watch the ticker at bottom of the screen to see if their school shows up and then they get to go back to bed! #howthingsusedtobe

Hell of a game with dudes from both teams who left it out there. What’s amazing is you never heard a DU coach/player talk abt being short handed or make excuses. Those guys battled their asses off in a tough spot & nvr flinched when adversity hit. 2 best teams in state to watch

Pay IHSAA a fee to officiate. Purchase gear for hundreds of $. Wear on vehicle attending gms w/out mileage comp. Hv administrators treat you like you are 2nd class when show up. Listen to fans bitch at you for hours Wait wks/months to get paid. Wonder why shortage of officials?

Youth basketball has allowed ‘for profit’ organizations to ruin the game. Continuous clock, limited fouls/violations called, full ct press, zone & shooting 2 for 1 foul shots 🤦‍♂️ Solution: Play 3vs3 -diminish the overemphasis of winning tournaments. Adopt USA Basketball Rules!!
