    Subway conductor just announced our train was stopped for a “police inspection.” Then, for 5 minutes, pairs of officers walked thru the cars and platform. No specific complaint, per officer, just looking “for any kind of violation.” (They got a tourist for vaping). Is this new?

    This is stunning stuff. TESLA tried to have a whistleblower SWATTED, arrested & placed on a mental health hold in retaliation for him going to journalists with safety violations. Bravo to this police officer for documenting the entire interaction in writing

    I genuinely don't think American journalists understand how much has been lost with the demise of the Alt-Weekly. The oppositional sensibility, long-form writing style, and sense of humor has never been replaced, let alone the arts coverage.
