Renovating your rental property?
This is a ‘capital’ expense, and you must wait until all work is completed before claiming 2.5% of the cost over 40 years.

Have you lodged your business tax return?
If you forgot to report any income, capital gains, or a deduction, you could easily fix this by lodging an amended tax return.
If your PAYG instalments will be more (or less) than your expected tax for the year, you can change the amount you pay.
You can do this through your myGov account or a registered tax agent.
Just remember, if you underestimate your variation amount it can result in penalties
