In the context of concerns over coalition instability, the correct way to "deal with" problematic smaller parties is to enforce certain basic standards of administration and internal democracy, in much the same way that financial records are required. The problem is not small

Dear @IECSouthAfrica, the percentages on your dashboard are still wrong. The ANC's 12,698,759 is 39.79% of the 31,917,355 valid votes cast in favour of parties in the combined national and regional ballots. Your reputation rests on the twin pillars of accuracy and transparency.

I don't mean any disrespect to particular people, or to the DA itself, but I don't see that we should assume that DA Cabinet Ministers will automatically do a good job. They will need to earn trust and respect, just like anybody else.

Factually speaking (I am a white South African), these claims are not accurate. 1. Statistically, there are not more killings of white farmers than there are of other demographics. 2. The Expropriation Act has been 5 years in the making, and it provides for fair compensation.

So, @eThekwiniM, this is the THIRD time in 2023 that I have seen sewage flowing outside the Mayville Police Station. I would phone my Ward Councilor, except that he is in jail awaiting trial for murdering his predecessor (AND you are still paying his salary).
