At my last DWP assessment, none of the people in the waiting area looked like they were ‘taking the mickey’. Some were visibly shaking, clinging to loved ones, clearly distressed by the dehumanisation and humiliation they faced.

- They don’t want disabled to work, they want disabled people off the benefits. Read it over and over until it’s burned into your memory.
- Things disabled people not allowed to have to according to “my hard earned taxes” ableists. -Motability car -Blue badge -Phone contract -Gym membership -Festivals -Just Eat -Tattoos -Streaming services -Pets -Ice Cream -Holidays They expect us to live on tap water and gruel.
- Even if the disability benefits cuts don’t go through, don’t celebrate. We should still hold every politician accountable—not just those who pushed for the cuts, but also those who spread misinformation and lies about disabilities and benefits to fuel an ableist voter base.
- Many disabled people such as myself felt shame when claiming benefits because of the stigmatisation that if claim benefits (even if you’re disabled) sadly the general population would see you as scum, lazy and waste of taxpayer’s money.
- If Liz Kendall gives a shit about disabled people then why does she deliberately keep ignoring dozens of disabled activists trying to warn her how detrimental the cuts will be for disabled people and carers. Liz Kendall needs to lose her career, not just her seat.
- Many disabled people, including those who are neurodivergent, send out dozens of CVs every day. Yet, even when they’re lucky enough to land an interview, they’re often rejected or only offered short-term positions. They don’t want us to get jobs, they just want us off benefits.
- Reasons so many autistic people are not at work despite being able body High levels of anxiety Risk of suicide Risk of homelessness Risk of mental illness Risk of being let go from a job Dying 10 years before peers Seen as “strange” by peers Quick to burnout/meltdown
- Replying to @SimplyyBellsYour love island audition was a failure so you chose to grift for the right
- Disabled people are the least threatening and most vulnerable demographic but we’re being treated like subhuman trash and criminals in 2025? If you take pleasure in frightening, belittling, or dehumanising disabled people, don’t play victim when we push back.
- Many disabled people (including neurodivergents) very likely experienced the stigmatisation of shame when claiming benefits. Disabled people claim benefits because they had nowhere else to turn especially the workforce is rigged against you just for existing.
- Disabled people and low income earners are not less worthy of: -Fresh food -Smart TV -Smartphone -Holidays -Pets -Education -Streaming services -A car -Gym membership -Festivals -Children -Existing
- There’s rage baiting accounts of Tik Tok impersonating as benefit claimants (including PIP claimants) and spreading dis/misinformation about the benefits system to entice an hateful and likely ableist userbase. Please report accounts like for the reasons I underlined.
- Takeaway pizza, Nandos, Spoons? Nah, you can’t have that. They want us to lived on watery tinned food like this
