- Every few months, some ER doctor goes viral for saying you need to take it very seriously when a male patient says his wife made him come in, and I'm infuriated that women are considered reliable ONLY when they're saying a man needs care, but not when she needs care herself. 🙃
- "Pain medication just masks symptoms" Correct??? That is an extremely worthwhile outcome for me????
- What exactly is the fucking point of blood work when you can have an abnormal result, and your doctor will be like yeah but that abnormal result is normal.
- This isn't a fully formed thought, but the way politicians increasingly blame people for not voting for them really reminds me of the way comedians increasingly complain that nobody finds them funny. Sorry you're so bad at your job but how is that anyone else's fault???
- "Are you going to wear a mask forever?" Dude that's not even in the top 1000 things I'm bummed about doing forever. I have to wash my dishes forever. Brush my teeth forever. Do laundry forever. Wearing a respirator forever is nothing.

- Going forward, PLEASE stop saying "Nobody saw this coming!" People saw it coming, they told you about it, and you ignored them.
- They should invent a doctor that doesn't hate patients.
- Went to a queer masked dance party last night and my heart is so full. The organizers were thorough with precautions, and I got to do the hot to go dance in a room of (mostly) queer people, all demonstrating community care. I got to feel like a person for a few hours.
- This pandemic showed me a side of humanity that I'm never going to unsee for the rest of my life. I knew humans were capable of great evil, but I didn't realize how easy it would be for 90+% of people to be cool with perpetuating a mass killing and disabling event.
- There's something so incredibly gaslighty about having people defend actions that prolong the pandemic by saying they want the pandemic to be over. I DO TOO, DUDE. A lot more than you do, in fact, because I'm willing to change my behaviour to achieve that.
- Just got a call for my IUD replacement appointment. Me: Is it possible to arrange some kind of pain control? It was really bad last time? Lady on the phone: We just tell people to take whatever they take when they have period cramps 🥰🥰🥰 ....
