Thanks to Angela Rayner, zero hours contracts will be banned, no-one will be subject to fire at will, no-one will be able to be fired and rehired, and no-one will lose their private rented home just cos their landlord wants them out. That's quite some legacy. Thank you Angela.

- What we learned today: Reform are coming for our friends and neighbours - people with the right to live in the UK, who are working, paying tax, sending their kids to school. People for whom the UK is their home. This is not who we are. It’s not fair and it’s not right.
- Good news! The Labour government are removing the requirement that adults over 19 have to get a Level 2 English and Maths (=GCSE pass) in order to complete an apprenticeship - a massive barrier in Tipton, Wednesbury and Coseley where 25% of adults don’t have those qualifications
- Mika is my colleague and friend. Our children are similar ages so we talk lots about the joy of having a preschooler. What she has experienced today is despicable. Solidarity Mika.Today a member of TUC staff, Mika Minio-Paluello, is being subjected to anti-trans abuse online, because she is a mother. This is unacceptable. Everyone should be safe and respected at work.
- If you must, attack Shabana Mahmood for her politics, for what she says and what she does. Not for who she is. It’s time we reminded ourselves of the boundaries of acceptable political debate in this country
- I will always remember the sheer kindness of a senior Treasury civil servant when my one year old rang them back on my phone in April 2020. I was mortified. Who did Sir Patrick think was looking after our kids, Cabinet ministers down? Mums were.
- Every single word of this. Every single word.Sarah Pochin’s comments were a disgrace. And Nigel Farage’s silence is deafening.
00:00 - Replying to @antoniabanceOn a personal level: she championed women and trade unionists always. She one of the best Labour ministers we have ever had, a champion of working people, and a dear friend.
- There is a line of basic decency in this country. This week, the Conservatives have crossed it
00:00 - A group of MPs with concerns about the assisted dying bill have tonight put out a statement about the removal of the High Court from the decision
- Come off it. The mere sight of Black and Asian families in ads offends you?! What is this, the 1950s?! You’re either in favour of integration or you’re not. Ethnic minority families eating breakfast cereal on telly *is* integrationSarah Pochin MP: “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black and Asian people.” Caller Stuart in London asks the Reform MP if her party will do anything about the 'representation of demographics in TV adverts'. @petercardwell | @SarahForRuncorn
00:00 - Not going to link to it, but if your boss puts a pic of you on twitter, with identifying details and personal info about your finances - just to make a political point - you need a union, and a new job
- This evening me, @Meg_HillierMP, @Jess4Lowestoft and @JamesFrith have written to all Labour MPs about the evidence to the assisted dying bill committee.
- We lost the first vote on the anti-strikes bill last night - but a long way to go yet. Every single Labour MP voted to protect the right to strike - as did the other opposition parties. Thanks to them for their solidarity with working people.
