Don’t forget that Justin Trudeau only received 32.62% of the vote. (The Conservatives actually got more, 33.74%.)

- The Alberta government says they’re considering using the Sovereignty Act for the first time to oppose Trudeau’s electric vehicle mandate:
- A memo sent out by convoy organizers to participants says “Do not enter federal buildings under any circumstances, even if invited.” — because they worry that the feds are “working hard to establish a “Jan. 6th” narrative”
- Canada’s top public health officials are saying that it’s time to learn to live with covid, that it’s now time to revisit the rules, including Dr. Tam. But Justin Trudeau still refuses to say it. He just won’t accept that it’s time to move on.
- Sen. Pierre Dalphond, a Trudeau appointee and former judge, has just announced he will be voting against the Emergencies Act because he believes it violates sec.8 of the Charter, “the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure.”
- Canadians should be troubled by this latest jailing of Tamara Lich, regardless of their politics or views on the convoy. She’s charged with non-violent crimes and yet is being treated much harsher than many serious violent offenders.
- Schools are closed, vehicles can’t get around, but the City of Toronto made it a priority to plow bike lanes before 6am.
- Don’t lose sight of the big picture. This is happening because Canada — 2 years into this, with one of the highest vaccination rates in the world — was unwilling to do what so much of the rest of the world was doing and drop our heavy-handed and increasingly pointless mandates.
- Trudeau doesn’t address the fact that polls now show a majority of Canadians don’t want restrictive covid rules anymore and that chief medical officers from coast to coast say it’s time to live with covid.
- Trudeau has revoked the Emergencies Act right as Senators began to speak out on it and as an urgent application for judicial review made its way to federal court today.
- The University of Toronto just announced mandatory covid boosters for students in residence this fall. This may be the first booster mandate in Canada. There isn’t even one for healthcare workers in Ontario, so why is UofT instituting one for students?
- Since medical officers for BC, Ontario & Toronto have all just said it’s time to learn to live with the virus & clearly want to roll back rules, the convoy is arguably more in line with public health views than Trudeau is, who won’t say this & has only been layering on more rules
- The RCMP knows the location of the fentanyl super labs that are poisoning our country and also exporting to the U.S. The federal government needs to immediately give law enforcement the resources they’ve been requesting to perform mass raids on these sites.
- It’s not just about making sure Ontario reopens now. It’s about making sure they don’t even think about pulling this stunt again 12 months from now.
