- Waterloo is quite experimental and surprisingly young (65 years). Some longtime profs joke that "Waterloo is at risk of becoming a real university". A SUPER interesting case study on institution design. My thoughts: 1. Co-op - Experiential design can't be beat. A month into ourWaterloo grads are unbelievably cracked software engineers. Has anyone written up an essay on what they’re doing there? Would be interested to read.
